Harnesses

Rock climbing harnesses.

Large range for men, women and children.  Sport, indoor, trad and bigwall. Brands include Petzl, Edelrid, DMM, Camp, Ocun, Mad Rock, and more. We have divided our harnesses into catergories for the differrent climbing disciplines and different user groups. Many harnesses can cover multiple categories.

Fixed Leg Harnesses.

Fixed leg harnesses are exactly as the title sounds.  The leg loops are a fixed size and cannot be adjusted.  This type of harness is normally favoured for simplicity and weight savings.  This makes them perfect for sports climbing, indoor climbing, and single-pitch trad climbing.  Great for the onsighting.

Adjustable leg harnesses.

Adjustable loop leg harnesses have full adjustable leg loops.  Allow for quick adjustment of the leg loop size.  Great for changes in leg size, whether from clothing or seasonal sports.  Normally a bit heavier because there is more material and two extra metal buckles (one on each leg loop).  Mainly used for trad climbing (single pitch and multipitch) and alpine climbing.  It is also handy for people with waist to leg ratios that are outside the norm.

Big wall harnesses.

Big wall harnesses normally have adjustable leg loops, dual waist buckles, multiple belay loops, tool holders, and extra thick waistbands. Designed to carry large amounts of gear and 'sitting in' for long periods. Great for big walls, long trad routes, and guiding.

Kids | Childs harnesses

Kids harnesses consist of full-body, fixed leg loops, adjustable leg loops.  Designed for the little ones different needs.

Women's Harnesses

Women's harnesses, normally, are slightly smaller for their size and the waist-to-leg loop ratio is different (ladies have a narrower waist compared to their leg size). As with everything designed for humans to wear these are generalisations. To me, it just allows for a greater range of products to fit everyone.
