Helmets for climbing, caving, rescue.

We stock a large range of climbing helmets. Major brand including Petzl, Black Diamond, Edelrid, Kong.

First time climbers / budget orientated

The Black Diamond Half Dome is one of the most popular helmets in the shop and is the cheapest.  The Petzl Boreo (Petzl Borea for people with hair they tie up) is probably our most popular.  While not being the cheapest it is great value for a foam construction (lighter) helmet with back and side protection.

Ultralight weight helmets.

The Petzl Sirocco is one of the lightest and most comfortable helmets in the world.  It is our pick for best helmet.   The Black Diamond Vapor comes in a close 2nd, and anecdotally more people like how this one looks.

Kids, helmets for the little people.

The Edelrid Kids Shield is my favourite child's helmet.  My Daughter has been using the one helmet since she was 18 months old, she is now 7.  If I extend her helmet out to it's largest setting I can put it on my head! (just).  The Petzl Picchu is a great option if your looking for a  helmet that is certified for bike riding as well.

Womens helmets (for anybody who ties up their hair)

Called women's helmet they really are for anybody who ties up their hair.  the back of the helmet has a curved cutout section just about the neckline.  This allows you to tie up your  hair.
